Its head bordered by golden petals.
flaps its rapid wings, shifting side to side,
Curiously watching the ladder sway.
A ladder to heaven,
Molded out of jelly like figures.
Living human souls, holding on with all their might.
Mere mortals, every day peasants, kings, queens, monks and terrorists.
Began with a thief, who tried to steal the angel’s robe,
He held on tight, then one by one everyone grabbed on,
Holding on to strangers, friends, families, and foes.
Ascending into the unknown sky.
Trying to reach the heavens,
but going up for eternity, with no end in sight.
all our bodies cling together,
For one slip could end it all.
Shelters are built, On top of the whiny serfs.
The flower humming bird heads back home,
As the royal highness rests during the storm,
We hang on to each others soaking bodies.
Seeing the clouds pass by,
the oxygen pried from our lungs,
Blue turns into black, now we see diamonds & marbles in the sky.
We feel the warmth from the sun, and the stillness of time.
Into the ethereal sun,
Our skins surely melting,
seeing the rubble we left behind,
From way up here, it looks like heaven.
