A spirit drifting across the sky,
plastic ghost floating up and gently falling down,
I walk across the pavement, watching the feet move,
Walk across the mirror shards,
cherry red feet in the gutter,
Sidewalk my best friend,
climbing to the top,
leaping cracks,
gaps across the roads,
the honking beasts glide past my nose,
they get to close, to quick, feel the open wound
cherry red nose, in the white cloth.
Down the hand into the ground,
the grass grows around my toes,
it breaths beneath my feet,
a pillow to dance on,
settling the pain from the hot black tar.
Stepping back to the dry surface,
soles stuck to the melting rock,
slower my paces go...
Ladder lowers down I grab on with all my strength
the cloud pulls me to safety,
To a giant cactus in the middle of the dessert...
